AFTER YOUR APPOINTMENT
You play a huge role in your results!
BEFORE APPOINTMENT
Clients should plan to avoid prolonged sun exposure for 30 days after their scheduled appointment.
To perform cosmetic tattoo procedures on the lips, the skin of your lips must be hydrated and moisturized on the day of your appointment.
We ask all clients to begin a daily lip regiment 5 days before you are scheduled to come in to prepare the lips.
5 DAYs before your appointment:
Vitamin A&D should be applied throughout the day.
After showering when lips are soft and supple, gently scrub your lips, especially the middle, and apply a layer of Vitamin A&D.
You can make a homemade scrub by mixing brown sugar, honey, and olive oil in the same proportions.
Though the sensation of micro-pigmentation is minimal, all clients will respond to pain differently.
To alleviate possible discomfort, a strong topical anesthetic will be applied DURING the procedure.
Please do not take any blood thinners such as Ibuprofen and Aspirin 24 hours before.
Tylenol can be taken 30 minutes before your treatment without any contraindications.
For clients with ANY history of cold sores/fever blisters/herpes, please contact your physician and request a prescription for Zovirax or Valtrex.
Taking preventative medication is recommended on the day of and the day after your appointment as a potential outbreak can occur as the skin's natural reaction to the procedure.
If you experience frequent outbreaks, please note that Lip Blush can only be done after 4 weeks from your most recent outbreak. All other questions or concerns regarding medications and outbreaks should be discussed with your healthcare physician.

* Repeat again after 2 hours. After that, NO water or other cleansers of any kind can be used for any reason for 5 days
* Swelling is normal after the procedure. (Some clients will experience more swelling than others depending on the individual’s body reaction. Swelling should go down after a few hours)
* DO NOT EAT FOR 3 HOURS FOLLOWING THE PROCEDURE (if you get hungry, you can carefully drink a smoothie using a straw)
* Do not drink anything that would stain the color of your lips (red wine, pomegranate juice, cherry juice, etc.)
No smoking of any kind
FIRST 7 DAYS
* Do not touch, bite, lick, pick, peel, tamper, scratch, rub, injure or remove the peeling in any way. If you do, you will experience a loss of color (patchiness). Let the skin naturally go through its own exfoliating and recovery process.
* Do not let any water, lotion, soap or makeup touch your lips
* Use a straw when drinking ANY liquids; avoid biting into foods that might cause friction to the lips. Cut foods into small bite-sized pieces when eating
* No spicy or super hot foods or drinks
* No foreign body fluids
* No physical activity that causes extreme sweating
* Do not use any lipstick or makeup on or near the treated area
DAY 14+

DAY 30
* Stay completely away from the sun.
* Use chapstick with SPF 50 after your lips are fully peeled from the scabs
* No injections/fillers for 30 days after Lip Blush procedure
* Do not use products containing alcohol, tonics, or tonic-based on lactose and fruit acids, retinol acids, glycolic acids in the treated area
MOISTURIZING
* A very thin layer of Aquafor, Hustle butter or Laneige should be applied consistently throughout the day to the treated area using a fresh Q-tip (do not use mineral oil or petroleum-based products such as Vaseline)
Applying too much moisturizer can lead to fading so a super thin layer goes a long way.
This will keep the area moist and accelerate the healing process. Do not let the area dry out and crack, keep it moist at all times. Do not press or rub when applying it.
* Apply a thicker coat of moisturizer to the treated are only before showering, bathing, brushing teeth and washing off adjacent areas.
Do not use toothpaste when brushing your teeth on the first day. After that, when brushing teeth, use a minimal amount of toothpaste (for 5 days). Toothpaste and mouthwash are considered “soap” and will remove lip color.
